I can find no absolute proof that Joseph Nickeson was the son of Aaron and Phebe Nickeson - however, the Nickerson Family Association felt that he belonged in this family, and there is circumstantial evidence to support that supposition. The area where Joseph was born, near the New York/Pennsylvania border, was were Aaron and Phebe were at that time; Joseph was married in Franklin co., Ohio and Phebe also lived there; Joseph named one of his sons Aaron.
