[Note: The Bedford VRs show a marriage of Joseph Moore to Dorcas Wood 22 Feb 1753, apparently recorded as Dorothy in the county copy, though Dorothy's marriage to William Cary in 1755 is of record. There is one child born to Joseph and Dorcas: Elizabeth 30 Oct 1753. There is no other sign of Dorcas or Elizabeth in Bedford records, and Middlesex County seems to have no probate for Joseph in 1802. There is an intriguing set of baptisms in Tewksbury to a father named Joseph Moor or Moors: Dorcas and Molly on 2 Apr 1761, Joseph on 20 Nov 1763, and Rebecca on 5 Apr 1767, but nothing to show any of this belongs to this Joseph, and Moore is a common name.]
