From: June 23, 1938 Winn Parish Enterprise Alonzo Mixon, Dodson, Dies In Vet's Hospital At Gulfport Alonzo Mixon, about 40 years of age, died Friday at theVeteran's Hospital at Gulfport, Miss. Mixon is survived by his father, B. B. Mixon ofDodson, two sisters, Mrs. Simon Shively, of Dodson, and Mrs. A. L. Linton ofHattiesburg, Miss., and one brother, Sherman Mixon of South America. He wasa member of the Baptist Church and an esteemed family and formerly residedat Dodson. The funeral was conducted Sunday afternoon at Gansville BaptistChurch, Rev. W. T. Strain of Simsboro officiated. PVT US Army, WWI
