His Dad (John Lis) wanted him to go to Poland and become a priest. Joe was too much of a travel'n guy he really loved to travel.He wished that he served in WWII but medical problems prevented him. Stanley and Joe both lived in California, Joe in Los Angeles and Stanley in Santa Ana 35 miles south from him.
