OBITUARY FROM BURLINGTON TIMES-NEWS: Joseph L. Isley SNOW CAMP — Mr. Joseph Levi “J.L.” Isley, 81, of 5807 Friendship Patterson Mill Road, died at 2 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 1999, at White Oak Manor after several years of failing health. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs.. Edith Webster Isley, who survives, and the son of Mr. Eusebious Luther Isley and Mrs.. Dora Boggs Isley, both deceased. He was retired from J. Spencer Love Hosiery Center of Burlington Industries and was a member of Mountain View Ruritan Club. He was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church. Survivors other than his wife of the home include a daughter, Mrs.. Otis (Jolane) Bailey of Burlington; a son, Mr. Larrie L. Isley of SnoCamp; three sisters, Mrs.. Lucille Crabtree, Mrs.. Mary B. Moore and Mrs.. Annie D. Aiken, all of Burlington; a brother, Mr. William H. Isley of Graham; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs.. Doris Long. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church by the Rev. Rick Moser, pastor. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at the home.
