It seems possible, however, given that they named their first son Joseph Hosmer Hayward, b. 1811 (Millbury VRs, p. 28), indicating Joseph probably had no previous children, and suggesting a connection to his mother's maiden name of Hosmer, which suggests this is probably correct. Further nothing has been found which seems to suggest otherwise.]
