    "683. Joseph Hart, (Nod,) Avon, fourth son of Sergeant Thomas, of Farmington, and his wife, Elizabeth (Judd), born ____, 1700, at Northington; married December 6th, 1722, Mary, daughter of Joseph Bird, Jr., and his wife, Mary (Steele). He was a shoe-maker by trade. They were both constituent members of the church at Northington in 1751, and he was their first deacon. He was also a magistrate there. His home was near the first meeting-house at Cider Brook, where his grandson, Gideon W., lived, and has been in possession of his descendants to this day. … He died March 10th, 1777, aged 77 years."
