- ↑ Joseph is called "of Royalston" when he married and given that all FULLER births in Royalston (two) name the father as Jacob, it makes sense he is Jacob's son. A Joseph Fuller serves as co-administrator of Jacob's insolvent estate, and though he is never explicitly indicated as son, he probably was. His marriage in 1799 suggests a birth around 1775. All of Jacob's children up to Relief b. 1771 apparently were recorded in Rehoboth even if born elsewhere, and Joseph was not recorded so it appears likely he was born after 1771. Reports on other websites (e.g., [1]) that he was born in 1755 are ludicrous as this is 3 years before his parents married. Equally implausible is the identification of his mother as Sarah Goodell (which would place his birth after 1792 making him under 6 when he married) or the death at 1856 at age 100 (not located).
