[Note: The gravestone is worn and in particular, the year of death appears to be virtually erased. The memorial page gives the death date as 29 Oct 1790 but the index of this page at familysearch.org gives 23 Oct 1793 so possibly it was corrected recently. Another memorial page (here), with no image of the gravestone and specifying a different cemetery (North versus West), gives 29 Oct 1790, probably copied from Hadley Genealogies, suggesting no actual knowledge of his grave.]

Will of "Joseph Eastman of Amherst ... yeoman", dated 19 Dec 1789, proved 18 Nov 1790, names wife Sarah Eastman; son Joseph Eastman; son Ebenezer Eastman; daughter Hannah Eastman [under age]; six daughter viz Sarah Cole, Ruth Dickinson, Mercy Kellogg, Lydea Dickinson, Mary Eastman and Hannah Eastman; son John Eastman. Wife Sarah and sons Joseph & John to be executors.
29 Dec 1790: Agreement between the w'd Sarah Eastham, Joseph Eastman, Ebenr Eastman, John Eastman, David Cowle & Sarah his wife, Ruth [D?]ickinson, Danil Keelogg and Marcy his wife, John Dickinson and Lydia his wife, Azariah Dickinson and Mary his wife Widow and Heirs of Joseph Eastman.
