"Joseph⁴ Bulkley (Joseph³, Thomas², Peter¹), born at Fairfield, Conn., 9 May 1682, died there 6 May 1750; … Administration on the estate of Joseph was granted, 5 June 1750, to Nathan and Ruth Bulkley. Distribution: widow Ruth; John, Nathan, Samuel, and Ebenezer Bulkley; Esther wife of John Hill; Sarah wife of Ebenezer Middlebrook. Agreement was made, 13 June 1750, between John Bulkley, Jr., John Hill and Hester his wife, Nathan Bulkley, and Samuel Bulkley, to divide the estate of their mother Esther Bulkley deceased. Ebenezer chose his mother Ruth guardian in 1750."
