Beers, Joseph, s. of James. Married Abigail Norton, dau. of Peter. "Abigail now wife of Joseph Beers of Fairfield" was named 1690 in will of Hugh Griffin as elder dau. of his wife. She m. (2) John Dunbar. Inv. 6 Mar. 1695/6. James (son of Joseph) chose his cousin Francis Bradley guardian, 4 Apr. 1711. [Bradley was his father's first cousin on the Barlow side.] John Dunbar as Adm'r of Est. of Joseph Beers, and his wife, paid legacies from the Est. of James Beers, father of said Joseph, of which said Joseph had been Exec'r. Mutual distribution [in Land Records] made 6 Mar. 1718/9 by Joseph and James Beers of Fairfield and John Blackman of Newtown and Abigail his wife, of Est. of their father Joseph.
