1797-8 - Joseph's birth/christening is recorded twice in the early NSW records. On both his mother is named as Ann Fowler and his father as Joseph Abbott.

1800 - There are also two records relating to the death of a Joseph Abbott. One of these indicates that he was an infant. I haven't seen the original copies, only the on-line index, so am unsure as to whether one or both of these refer to this Joseph.
