(2) 1765 Patience Damon. Source:Woodward, Norma Slater. Descendants of Richard Woodward, New England, 1589-1982, p. 79, objects, saying Mary d. 1764 "at which time she is listed as a widow", so assumed the marriage to Patience Damon belongs to the son. The death record of Mary does NOT list her as a widow (Newton VRS, p. 521), but she is followed by another Mary Woodward who d. 1776 listed as a widow. We can only speculate that Norma Woodward got confused by this second record, since the probate cited above clearly shows Jonathan did survive his first wife Mary and did marry Patience as his second wife as Jackson said.
