  2. According to Source:Jackson, Francis. History of the Early Settlement of Newton, County of Middlesex, Massachusetts, from 1639 to 1800, p. 442, Jonathan "d. 1776, ae. 39". The basis for this statement is unknown as no record is found, and perhaps may be doubtful. First, his son Jonathan d. 14 Oct 1776, which perhaps could be confused for Jonathan's death. Second, there is an infant and a child of Jonathan's that die in 1786 according to Newton VRs. In particular the description of one as an infant, suggests he is still alive, as no other Jonathan Williams seems to available, "Jonathan Jr." marrying 2 years later in 1788.
