    "The will of Jonathan Robbins was dated 30 January 177[6?] with a codicil dated 10 May 1776, proved by its witnesses 6 August 1777 and approved by the court on 22 August 1777. It names his wife Sarah; his five daughters Sarah the wife of Elisha Kilbourn, Elizabeth wife of David Deming, May Robbins deceased, Hopeful wife of Joseph Mosely, and Hannah wife of Wait Robbins; his sons Joshua, Jonathan, Appleton, Robert, Oliver, Solomon, Elias and Levi; and grandchildren Mary and Lucy Robbins who are daughters of his daughter Mary Robbins, deceased. The will appoints his wife Sarah as executrix and his sons Joshua and Appleton as executors; it was witnessed by Elisha Williams, William Warner, and Jonathan Welles. The codicil notes that son Joshua has deceased and conveys that portion to Joshua's children with the elder son to receive a double portion. The inventory of the land in Sandisfield totaled £ 1403:12:00 while the inventory of personal and real estate together came to £7841:13:06, for a total of £245:15:06 (Hartford Probate District, Connecticut Estate Files, docket o. 4546)."
