Jonathan Parsons was baptised on 8th December 1753 at Kimpton in Hertfordshire, son of John and Ann Parsons. He was the third of seven children baptised to the couple at Kimpton between 1749 and 1766.

Jonathan appears to have stayed in Kimpton but he does not appear to have married. He died aged 56 and was buried at Kimpton on 6th April 1810. His burial record notes that he had been found dead in the street.
