In Thummel's work, he documents a Jonathan Finch #311-21 who was born at Smith's Cove (Greenwich), Connecticut and dies at Danby (no state name given). Though there is more than one Smith's Cove in Connecticut, Thummel does us the favor of adding the name Greenwich. However the name 'Danby' is not as clear. Does he mean Danby, Thompkins County, New York; Danby, Rutland County, Vermont; or does he mean Danbury, Fairfield County, Connecticut? I am assuming that Danby and Danbury are one and the same. Note that his wife survived him, and is said to have died at Smith's Cove.
