Biography

John was born on 6 Oct 1868 In Montgomery County, Kentucky to David Donald Dale and Martha (Payne) Dale ^[2] In 1870 He lived in Sideview, Aarons Run, Montgomery County, Kentucky with his parents and 5 siblings. He was the baby of the family at 2 years old. ^[3] Before 1880 the family moved to Union in Nicholas County, Kentucky, United States. He had become the middle child being number 5 of 9. He was 12 years old and attending school. ^[4] He married Ella Rose (Ball) Dale around 1900 ^[5][6]

Together they had at least 6 children:

In 1910 He was living in Precinct 1, Flat Rock, Kentucky with his wife and 4 daughters. Home in 1910 Flat Rock, Bourbon, Kentucky ^[5] He passed away on 15 Apr 1915 from something to do with a brain abscess In Little Rock, Bourbon, Kentucky, United States. ^[2][7] He was laid to rest on the same day in the Dale Family Burial Ground in Little Rock, Bourbon County, Kentucky. Ella had a daughter prior to their marriage. Her name was Lucy Ball (abt.1889-). This is not Lucinda Ball Gross. Please do not conflate them.
