U.S. Army Ret. : Winkleback, Henry - born 9/15/1755 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; moved in abt. 1776 to Greenbrier [then Montgomery] County [area later Monroe County], Virginia, where entered service 1778-9 in Greenbrier County in Virginia regiment against Indians; granted Pension 1832 in Monroe County, Virginia; known in Revolutionary War as Henry Squire; Robert Campbell & clergyman James Christy made affidavit there then, per County Justice of the Peace James Handly & County Clerk of Court Robert Hutchison.
