↑ Clearly, this John died before early 1675 when another son named John was born. It seems likely he died very shortly after birth as the next child, Ann, was born only just a little over a year later. Such short gaps tended to occur when the leading child died shortly after birth, while surviving children typically were followed by gaps closer to 2 years or so.
