I, John Warner, Sen., of Middletown, in the County of Hartford, being advanced to the age of 77 years, do make this my last will and testament: I give to my son John Warner and to his heirs forever my dwelling house, barn and homelott and my pasture at Siding Hill so called, about 7 acres, and one piece of land at a place called Pistol Point, about 3 acres, and my land at Wongunk (as well what is my own property inheritance as also what right I have in any lands there or that to my brother Jonathan Warner decd.), and also all my right in the common and undivided land in Middletown, otherwise called the 3rd division of land on the west side and the fourth division of land on the east side of the Great River; also I give him all my husbandry tools of all sorts, and also all my stock of cattle, horses, sheep and swine, except what I shall in this will otherwise dispose of. I give to the heirs of my daughter Mary Wilcock decd., and to their heirs forever, one cow and one feather bed; and the reason why I give them no more now is because I have given my daughter Mary, by deed of gift and otherwise, her full portion of my estate. I give to my daughter Hannah, and to her heirs forever, all my right and title in any part of the three-mile division of land so called, on the east side of the Great River in Middletown, and all my household utensils of all sorts that is not already disposed of in this will; also I give her 2 cows, 10 sheep and my sorrell mare (four years old last spring). And further, my will is that the remainder of the rest of my estate, after my just debts, funeral charges and legacies are paid, be divided between my son John and daughter Hannah, 2-3 to John and 1-3 to Hannah. And I hereby ordain my son John Warner sole executor.
