'THOMAS STARR, son of Joseph, ... b. Sept. 14, 1706, bap. Sept. 22, in the First church at Middletown. The only other mention of his name on the records of the town is, that "Thomas Starr died at Cape Boilion as per account Dec. 31, 1746."
He m. THANKFUL, dau. of John and Mabel (Borman) GRISWOLD, b. Dec. 19, 1715, at Wethersfield, Ct. ... It appears that his wife returned to Middletown where ten days before his death, [their] son, then over 7 years old was bap., and the widow m. Feb. 14, 1750, John Ward, Jun., of M., and had three children.'

Thankful's birth does not appear in the Wethersfield VRs as recorded by Barbour, so it is possible that she was born elsewhere.
