In 1900, John and Addie were living with her mother and grandmother in Manchester, Va and he was a carpenter. In 1910, they lived in Richmond, VA and he was a saleman for an oil company. In 1920, they lived in Washington, DC at 1838 Kenyon St and he was the local manager for Standard Oil. Their daughter Cornelia and son-in-law Thomas lived with them as well as Addie's mother. In 1930, they are living at the same address and he is still a manager at Standard Oil. His son-in-law and his new wife Jane also live with them. Grandson John is at Fork Union Military Boarding School.
