Van Pelt, John - lieutenant of 13th Pennnsylvania Regiment; daughter Anna wife of William Vaughn applied for Bounty Land Warrant in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, for surviving soldier's heirs & Bounty Land Warrant #1237 was granted to them; soldier's heirs then: Anna Vaughn & Elizabeth, wife of Charles McGlathery, both of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Mary, wife of Jonathan Pownel & Catherine Van Pelt, both of Virginia, & John & Joseph Van Pelt of Highland County, Ohio; query letter in file in 1912 from great great granddaughter Jane Van Pelt Barnes, Toledo, Ohio, says she was great granddaughter of soldier's son Isaac.
