John Waggoner came to Kentucky perhaps a little earlier than our people came to Illinois. As our people came, they seem to have made a considerable stop, somewhere in Kentucky, probably with John and his people. One of John's sons and a son-in-law visited our people in Illinois about 1868. They seem to have had the two-fold purpose of visiting and looking at the country with a view of moving.
