He married Kathrine Hripko and together they raised ten children, Verona,John,Mary,Helen,Emil,Cyril,George,Edward,Florence,and Stanley in Youngstown, Ohio. He worked for Republic Steel in the same town, untill his death at age 58 from cancer.
