Thompson, John. He had a grant of 2½ acres in Fairfield, recorded 7 Jan. 1660 [1660/1]. Inv. June 1657. Widow; ages of children: Elizabeth 13, Mary 8, John 6, Hester 3. The widow Elizabeth made marriage covenant, 25 Dec. 1657, with Daniel Finch of Fairfield, and was dead in 1658. Francis Hall and George Godwin were appointed feofees, and at Godwin's death, William Heyden was appointed in his room. Hall and Heyden were appointed Adm'rs of John Thompson's Est. in room of Elizabeth Finch. On 28 Jan. 1673 [1673/4], Elizabeth wife of Thomas Bennett, Mary wife of John Bennett, and Esther Thompson, entered for record land which was theirs by virtue of execution in William Heyden's estate; and John Bennett purchased from Thomas Bennett a third part, and from Hester Thompson a third part. On 4 Apr. 1672, in a sale from Turney to Wheeler, the bounds mention "land of John Tomsons Children sometimes the land of Willm Hayden."
