- Tabb, John - Leg. - wife; grandson John, son of Thomas Tabb; daughter Elizabeth; son William my plantation in Brunswick County on Wagua Creek; son John my plantation in Dinwiddie on Sappony Creek also the plantation in Dinwiddie on Stony Creek bought of William Tucker of Hampton and William Cary of York County; grandson John, son of Thomas Tabb; daughter Elizabeth; daughter Johana; daughter Sarah - the aforesaid daughters to live on my Stony Creek Plantation until their marriage; to my daughter-in-law Mary Tabb, my son's widow an interest in my estate until she remarries; daughter Diana; grandaughter Mary, daughter of my son William; to each of my children born of my first wife the part of their grandmother's and grandfather's estates; son William, cousin John Tabb, John Robinson and Mr. Henry King, guardians of my children Diana and John Tabb; daughter Diana to be brought up by my daughter Johana of Elizabeth of my one of my daughter-in-laws; Mary or Diana Tabb.

Information in John Tabb
From William and Mary College Quarterly, Vol. III, pg. 122:
John 4 Tabb (Thomas3, Thomas2, Humphrey1) was captain, colonel, justice, sheriff and member of the House of Burgesses from Elizabeth City county. His will dated November 26, 1761, and was proved March 2, 1762. He married, first, mary, daughter of Rev. James Selater, of Charles Parish, York County. He married , second, Martha Wallace (?).
