brother Jacob Storm (living in Scott County, IN in 1832) said John b. in Pennsylvania and “raised” in Virginia, parents were Dutch.
Isaac Strom (living in Lawrence County, IN in 1849) stated that he and John Storm were half brother, John being son by first wife of father. John was referred to as the “Dutch lad”
John Storm enlisted August 1780 in Fincastle, Botetourt County, Virginia, served until Sept 1781, 1st as pvt in Capt. Ballard Smiths Co 1” Virginia Reg; next in Captain Thomas Bowyer’s Virginia Co; then reenlisted on the High Hills of Santee in South Carolina, served in Capt Robert Morrow’s Co., Col. William Washington’s 3” Reg of Continental Dragoons, discharged at termination of War
Pension executed 30 July 1828 while residing Burlingame Township, Greene County, IN. Made application before JP John Storm Jr. of Greene County;
