JOHN STEWART, SR., born 1700, was the son of DANIEL STEWART and wife the widow ELIZABETH FARLEY. DANIEL STEWART was born 1670 either in England or Henrico CO VA,. his father was JOHN STEWARD born 1630, Northamptonshire England and mother was DOROTHY JOHN born 1630, died in Henrico CO VA in 1704; had 8 children, not all accounted for. The 2 males we know of are DANIEL born 1670 and JOHN JR. born 1660. Through JOHN STEWART, JR., born 1660 line, we have the WARD-STEWART marriage. John JR`s daughter SARAH STEWARAT born ca. 1702 married JOSEPH WARD, who died in 1743, will probated in Henrico CO VA, son of Captain SETH WARD & ANN HATCHER, daughter of HENRY HATCHER & ANNE LOUND. Joseph had brothers named Seth, Benjamin, Richard. Joseph Ward owned over 1,00o acres of land in Amelia, Chesterfield, present day Charlotte(was Lunenburg), and Prince Edward CO. The John Stewart who died and left an inventory of books would not be related to this John Stewart on the Blackater River.
