Facts and Events
He was pastor of the Christian Church and aided in organizing the first church of that denomination in Dutchess County, New York. He was pastor successively, at Charleston, Freehold, Coxsackie, Berlin, Petersburg, Stephentown, New York city, and at South Adams, Massachusetts. He was preeminently successful in his ministry and exerted a wide religious influence. He died 30 March 1865, and is buried at Freehold, Greene County, New York, where he was pastor for several years.
