THOMAS SPUFFORD (Thomas, John, William) was baptized on 13 August 1565 at Toddington, Belfordshire. He married Anne Waindright on 31 October 1591. Anne was buried on 19 October 1605, leaving two small daughters. Six weeks later, on 30 November 1605, he remarried to Ellen Harding, daughter of Richard, baptized 20 January 1582/3 in Toddington.
