    Some sources give Ralph Shepard sons John and Walter [Ralph Shepard 49-50; Weymouth Hist 4:630; DeHR 14:28]. There was a John Shepard of Concord who was the right age to have been a son of Ralph, but no record connects him with Ralph. Jacobus treats this John Shepard in a separate section and does not suggest any connection [Shepard 3:51-91].
