Will of "John Scott of Winchester", dated , proved 20 Aug 1867, names daughter Lurana Z. Buffum; son Charles W. Scott; granddaughter Helen E. Evans; granddaughter Ella Hunt; my other grandchildren. Son Charles W. Scott to be executor. 20 Aug 1867: Petition of Charls W. Scott that John Scott late of Winchester lately deceased and petitioner is named and willing to be executor. 28 Aug 1867: Inventory of John Scott late of Winchester deceased: $8545.66, by Daniel A. hawkins, Everson Cook, Isaac Saben. Undated: Petition of Alvin Scott of Winchester, age 65, brother of John Scott now deceased, the he lived with Alvin from 3 Jan 1866 to about 1 Apr 1866 when he bought an adjacent house. He died Aug 13 1867, in good mental state until 23 Jul 1867 when he took a bad turn.
