- ↑ Based on his marriage 1666/67, one would guess he is born by 1645, to be of legal age, but Source:Sawin, Thomas E. Sawin : Summary Notes Concerning John Sawin, and His Posterity, p. 6, says he was under age at the time of his marriage. The basis for this statement is unknown and it may be as assumption based on fitting John into the sequence of three known children. On the other hand, Robert Charles Anderson, 5:199, estimates his parents' marriage as about 1644 (without explanation), which may be based on the legal age argument, even though it leaves a gap of 10 years until the next child. What is known for sure is that he was born by Apr 1653 when he is listed in a deed as a grand-child of George Munning [Suffolk Deeds vol. 2, p. 357.]
