John Ross, born 11 March 1705[2][3], was the eldest son of James and Elizabeth Ross and to him was deeded the homestead in the lifetime of his father. He married in Sudbury, July 8, 1730, to Submit Hoar and they had twelve children whose descendants have been very numerous[2].
