16 Jun 1752: "John Rockwood of Mendon ... Husbandman", for £5-16-8, to "John Corbet of Bellingham ... Physician", part of a meadow "which my father Joseph Rockwood Late of Mendon Dec'd by his Last Will and Testament Gave to his son Josiah Rockwood in partnership with Ebenezer Hill and David Hill of Holliston ... which was Laid out to James Albee and Josiah Thayer ... to be divided ..."

Sept'r the 7th 1778 then Departed this Life John Rocket aged Eighty two year and Seventeen Days old.

You are hereby Required in his Majestys Name fourthwith to warn John Rocket and Elisabeth Rocket his wife to Depart out of said Warwick Immediately without delay here of fail Not and make Return of your Doings unto the Selectman at or before the 31 day of this Instant october. Warwick October the 26th: 1775. Amos Marsh, Josiah Pomeroy, Thomas Rich } Selectmen of Warwick.
October the 27: 1775 John Rocket and Elisabeth Rocket his wife were Lawfully warned to Depart out of this town of Warwick.

In obedience to the within warrant I have warned the person therein mentioned in his majesties Name to Depart out of the town of Warwick without Delay. Warwick October ye 27 AD 1775 as witness my hand David Cobb } Constable of warwick.
I also Inquiered of them from when they came and they told me from Mendonn in the County of Worcester and that they come into this town on the twelfth of November AD 1774.
