    John Robinson was born in Coshocton Co., Ohio, November 28, 1826. Moved, to Hancock Co., and there married December 25, 1855. He was a member of the G. A. R. 21st, Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He moved to Kansas in 1864. Was in the Price raid and taken prisoner at the Battle of the Blue.

    The venerable gentleman died June 7, at his home three miles west of Auburn and was laid to rest in the Auburn cemetery, June 8, 1900.
