Marie T. Roberts
ARKVILLE — Marie T. Roberts, 80, of Arkville died Friday, Sept. 18, 1998, at the Benedictine Hospital, Kingston.
She was born June 29, 1918, in Maybrook, the daughter of John Slattery and Loretta Krom.
She married John B. Roberts. He died on Dec. 7, 1995.
She was an Avon representative for 26½ years.
She is survived by two daughters, Jacklyn Marie Johnson of Arkville and Shirley Ann Bailey of Burlington, N.C.; one son, Gary Lewis of Roxbury; one stepdaughter, Mary Mead of Roxbury; one stepson, Edward John Roberts Sr. of Fleischmanns; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one stepdaughter, Gloria Roberts, who died in 1955.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hynes Funeral Home in Margaretville, with the Rev. Dr. George Carpenter officiating.
Burial will be at the Margaretville Cemetery in Margaretville.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Contributions in memory of Marie T. Roberts can be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are by Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.
