He d. 31 May, 1798 [1797], in his 82d yr.—S. C. R., and was bu. in Stepney Burying-ground. Fifteen yrs. later, his remains were placed in a spacious vault, erected by the family. By his will (1794) he provided for the manumission, at age of 25, of two slaves, Doll and Amy; gave his dau. Sarah £175 in add. to other gifts; to Eunice £215; to Huldah an add'l sum; to the children of his dec'd dau. Martha, (Wright) £331; to his son Wait £2,456-3-06; to son Levi £220; to his gd.-s. Justus £1,125; to Jacob £2,381; to s. Simeon £2,567; to s. Frederick £2,861; the widow's share was £14,329."
