    DEATH OF JOHN E. RICKER.

    John E. Ricker, a former member of the Fire Department, died Tuesday at the Cambridge Hospital, after a protracted illness. Mr. Ricker came to Cambridge in 1869 from Manchester, N. H., where he was horn. He joined the fire department the following year, and for 40 years was attached to Engine 4 as engineer. He retired August 1, 1910, and since that time has been repair man in the department. He was an old-time member of Charity Lodge of Masons and was master in 1885-86.
