- ↑ 2.0 2.1 There appear to be conflicting "family trees" giving sketchy information concerning the birth parents for this individual. Both parents are listed here until one can be categorically eliminated.
According to Enos' Massachusetts death record, his father was born in Newbury, Vermont. [The transcriber of this record misunderstood the actual record to read Newbury, Massachusetts.] Joshua Ricker's family, Benjamin Ricker's father, relocated to Newbury, Vermont around 1766 just before Benjamin was born. This would indicate that John Ricker is most likely Benjamin's child as Benjamin appears to have lived in Orange, Vermont his entire life.
Solomon's children were primarily born in Wells, Maine and there is little indication that they went to Vermont or Massachusetts.
With these general facts in mind, John will be connected with Benjamin Ricker and Ruth White until contradictory evidence comes to light. Solomon will remain as a speculative parent for research continuity.
