[Note: Source:Pierce, Frederick Clifton. Peirce Genealogy : Being the Record of the Posterity of John Pers, an Early Inhabitant of Watertown, in New England, Who, p. 27, assigns this baptism to the John b. 1668. However, based on his age at the time of baptism, being almost, if not actually, old enough to be admitted to the church on his own, and the absence of any of the intervening children (e.g., Ephraim, Joseph and Abigail all born after John and still alive) in this list, it seems very likely this might be a second child named John. More research is needed, Pierce apparently having no further information on John than these two events.]
