    John Perkins [#56], s/o Thomas Perkins [#12] and Hannah Woodbury, b. Wenham 23 May 1717, m. (1) 26 Dec 1751 Abigail Dodge of Beverly, m. (2) Anne Whitmarsh.
[Note: the second wife is listed on p. 14, but not in the detailed coverage of John given on p. 24? Further, on p. 45, John Jr.'s first wife is identified as "Anna Whitmarsh. Source:White, Almira Larkin. Genealogy of the Descendants of John White of Wenham and Lancaster, Massachusetts, p. 94, shows only Abigail Dodge, and gives "Mrs. Anna Whitmarsh" to the son John. Neither one identifies this Anna Whitmarsh to see how old she might be, nor is it obvious from the records who she is. The marriage record in Wenham calls her "wid. Anna Whittmash", which would tend to make one suspect it was the recently-widowed father who married her. The death record of John Jr.'s wife in 1788 does not give her name, and the four children are all baptized of "John, jr." with no mother specified. So there doesn't seem to been any evidence that John Jr.'s wife was named Anna. However, those baptisms from 1780 to 1787, match very well the scenario that John Jr. married 1779 Anna Whitmarsh who died in 1788. ???]
