    John, born in Bridgewater, Oct. 8, 1695, removed to North Bridgewater subsequent to 1700, and married Lydia Thomson, of Halifax, in 1726. He died June 3, 1738, aged about 43, in North Bridgewater; and he lived on the place now occupied by Micah Faxon. He built the first grist mill in the town. After his death his widow and his oldest son, Abel, removed to Cummington, in 1774. His widow, who was born April 22, 1703, died in Cummington, March 10, 1789, aged about 86. They had three sons and two daughters, viz.: Lydia, Abel, Abigail, John Jr., and Barnabas, all of whom had families.
