Weston Town Records give a birth in 1695, while Bond, Crane, and Sanderson (NEHGR 127:182) use 1696, which is how it is recorded in Watertown. As the birth was about 17 years before Weston incorporated, the Weston record was clearly recorded after the fact, probably about 1721 based on surrounding dates. This suggests the Watertown record, being more contemporary, is probably more reliable. Also, as the next child is born very early 1699, a typical 2 year spacing would also suggest 1696 is more likely.
