    John Mosher: Born in Pepperell, Mass., Feb. 8, 1745; died in New Hartford, N. Y., March 3, 1817; Sergeant in Capt. John Nutting's Co., Col. Wm. Prescott's Regt., which marched from Pepperell, April 19, 1775; commissioned Second Lieutenant in same command, June 25, 1775; Lieutenant in Col. M. Jackson's Regt., from Jan. 1, 1777 to Dec. 31, 1777; commanded a company of infantry during five years of war, participatin in the battles of Lexington, Bunker Hill, White Plains, Brandywine, Saratoga, and Monmouth. -- Charles Butler Rogers.
