John Corydon Moon (1853-1933) with his brother, Joseph, (Alva Moon/Samuel Moon/Joseph Moon) owned the Moon Brothers Carriage Co. in St. Louis. He was president of Mutual Wheel Co. of Moline. Illinois and president of the Moon-Hopkins Billing Machine Co. which was purchased by the Burroughs Adding Machine Co. He was also president of the Landis Machine Co. which made shoe repair machinery. He lived at #1 Westmoreland Place, an elite section of St. Louis.
