From Obituary McPeak- John J. McPeak. 106 N. Van Buren St., Bay City, Michigan, passed away ear ly Wednesday morning at Mercy Hospital after an illness of five years. A ge 65 years. He was born March 19, 1900 in Bay City, and was the son of M r. and Mrs. Charles McPeak, who was the Assistant! City Manager. After gr aduation from St. James High School, he attended Michigan State Universi ty at East Lansing. Upon graduation from Michigan State University he w as employed at the Motor Wheel Corporation of Lansing for 24 years of wh ich he was Sales Mgr. He was then associated with Goodyear Tire & Rubber C o. of Akron, Ohio for 3-1/2 years. He was also associated with Allied W heel Products of "Toledo, Ohio-for about three and one half years, bef ore returning to Bay City and taking a position with The Goddeyne Mfg. C o. for two years before he retired about five years ago. Surviving besides his wifeOdile M. are two sisters: Mrs. Lorian (Haze l) Weaver of Albany, Georgia, and Mrs. Henry (Isabel) Bass of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He also leaves one brothe r: Mr. Courtney J. McPeak of Al- buquerque, New Mexico. He was a member of St. Joseph Church and its Holy Name Society. He w as very active in youth and civic work for over 20 years while employ ed in the Lansing area. Funeral services will take place Saturday morni ng at 8:30 a.m. at the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel and 9:00 a.m. at St. Jo seph Church with the Rev. Fr. Alphonse Favre officiating, The burial wi ll take place in St. Patricks Cemetery. The rosary will be recited Frid ay evening at 8:00 p.m. by Fr. Favre. Relatives and friends may ca ll at ^ the chapel after 2:00 pm Thursday. References
