Source:Webster, Kimball. History of Hudson, N.H, p. 175, says John Marsh, s/o John and Sarah (Severance) Marsh, b. Haverhill 1725, m. Martha, daughter of Ezra Rolfe. This is written into the a copy of the town records, p., 76, 77. However a man born in 1725 was clearly not the John Marsh "of Dracut" (not Haverhill), who m. 1737 (at age 12!) Martha Rolfe, herself born in 1716. The purpose of marriage record to "Martha Seaverans" in 1748 calls the husband "of Nottingham" and shows that Martha Rolfe was not the person who married that man.
